Co-Production is most effective when consumers are involved in the process.

What do we offer?

Co-Production skills are increasingly important to staff who need to work in collaboration with health consumers and community members.

Health Issues Centre offers a three-hour workshop that will teach health service staff how to work with consumers in the initial stages of development of a project or program. The workshop will provide staff with tools and activity sheets to practice engaging consumers in this process. This will help staff return to their health services and be more informed when working with consumers.

This workshop will cover:

  • Key Definitions

  • Benefits and Principles of Co-Production

  • Tools for Co-Production

  • Implementation, Monitoring and Evaluation Processes

What participants say

I now understand the principles of co-production. I can see that we need to start working with the community from the beginning and why we need to do that. We shouldn’t wait until the program has already been designed and then ask for feedback. I will use the resource sheets that we received and go through them step-by-step in my work
