Early in 2023, Health Issues Centre partnered with members of Long COVID Support Australia Facebook and Long COVID Australia to develop a community survey to hear from those with lived and living experiences of Long COVID.
The survey explored:
- Health status pre- and post-COVID infection
- Experiences of health services
- Impacts of Long COVID on work and study
- Wellbeing impacts of Long COVID on daily life
- Areas for future research, public awareness and education priorities.
In total, 534 responses were received over a 2-week period. The responses provided us with rich information on the effects and impacts of Long COVID on people’s lives, as well as areas for future awareness, education and research.
